The Somaliland Electoral Commission has announced that the presidential and political party elections will be held on November 13, 2024.
The chairman of the Electoral Commission, Muse Hassan Yusuf, who is surrounded by other members of the committee, announced the time the committee decided to hold the elections.
“The commission has decided that the election of the president, vice president and national party elections will be held on 13 November 2024,” said the chairman.
He said that only the three existing parties will compete in the presidential election.
He said that the three political parties in Kulmiye, UCID and Waddani and 10 new political organizations will compete in the election.
He added that on Saturday, the Electoral Commission has submitted the letter to the President specifying the time of the elections so that the President can make an official announcement.
