The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia Bihi Iman Cige and his delegation arrived in Washington DC in the United States of America where they are participating in the spring conference hosted by the IMF and the World Bank.
This six-month conference will last for one week, and will discuss the priority issues of debt relief, the financial process and the review of the world economy.
The Minister of Finance of Somalia Bihi Iman Cige and his delegation opened the meeting before a special meeting with the Director General of the International Monetary Fund in charge of countries such as Somalia Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin.
The meeting between the delegation led by the Somali Finance Minister Bihi Iman and Director Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, the two sides discussed the reform of the country’s finances and getting a full day to move to the post-debt forgiveness period.
The Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia and his delegation will be in Washington for a week and will hold meetings with some of the leaders of the countries participating in this conference and financial institutions.
