Iran has fired missiles carrying drones at Israel, which is its first direct attack on Israeli soil.
Israel’s military spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, said that Iran fired dozens of missiles into Israel, most of which he said were intercepted outside Israel’s borders.
It contained more than 10 cruise missiles, according to the spokesman.
The Israeli military spokesman confirmed that one of the rockets caused minor damage to one of the Israeli military bases.
On the other hand, US President Joe Biden said that the US helped Israel shoot down almost all of Iran’s drones and missiles.
The President of the United States will call an emergency meeting of the G7 leaders this Sunday to give a unified response to the attack on Iran.
Joe Biden called on Israel not to respond to Iran’s attack, to try to calm the situation, but he said that they will take the necessary measures to protect Israel’s security.
On the other hand, the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, said that he is very concerned about the real danger of the conflict in the Middle East.
He urged all parties to exercise restraint to avoid any action that could lead to major military confrontations.
