Puntland security forces have arrested a gunman accused of killing a businessman named Ahmed Tahliil yesterday in Galkayo.
The gunmen were arrested in the Bursalax area of Galkayo on the west side, after the governor of Mudug region and his troops went to arrest the men who fled Galkayo when they committed the act.
The security forces surrounded their hideout and later surrendered. Their arrest came a day after the horrific murder of Ahmed Tahil, a businessman, in Galkayo.
He was killed in front of his business. Men dressed in army uniforms and driving a Probax car executed his murder, but it is not yet confirmed whether the murder was committed by one person or some of them.
Although the reason for his death has not yet been fully ascertained, the reports we have received say that the deceased’s brother and one of the men who committed the act were involved in a dispute over a small child.
