The leader of Wadajir party and member of parliament, Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, described the decision of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s trip to Ethiopia as a mistake.
MP Abdirahman Abdishakur said that the decision taken by President Hassan Sheikh was not considered and was rushed. He said that the government should reduce relations with Ethiopia.
“I did not know about the agreement between us in Addis Ababa. We know that they have violated the unity and independence of the country. You should ask the president, what is the reason that pushes you to attend a meeting in Addis Ababa,” said Abdirahman Abdishakur.
Abdirahman Abdishakur said that the government should reduce diplomatic relations with Ethiopia, if it is not necessary, the status of the delegation sent to the AU conference should be reduced.
He said that the Somali parliament, which should have asked the president questions about his trip, failed to do so, saying that they are busy with amending the country’s constitution.
