Puntland carried out an operation last night in Bosaso city against people from Ethiopia, mostly Oromo, who have been pouring in there for the past few days.
The operation was carried out by the Puntland navy and the police, and many Oromo people were arrested on the streets of Bosaso.
Lately, in the big cities of Puntland, there have been more people from the Oromo ethnic group, who are looking for work.
Some of the Oromos have joined Daesh and Al-Shabaab groups, committing acts against security in Bosaso.
Puntland’s security agencies have captured some of them.
Puntland security officials told HOL that the administration is planning to send these Oromo people back to their country.
