Reports from Amara area in Mudug Region that last night around ten mortars were hit in that area.
The mortars that attacked the Amara area caused casualties including deaths, injuries and damage to civilian houses.
Preliminary reports say that one of the mortars hit a civilian house and killed the father and mother of the family that was hit by the shell and injured their son.
Another woman was also killed by the mortars in Amara. One of the mortars went to her home.
The army officers in the area said that the mortar attack was carried out by the Al-Shabaab group that had been expelled from the area.
There is a sad situation in Amara area this morning, and it is one of the last areas to be removed from the Al-Shabaab group fighting in Mudug region.
