The Armed Forces Court has sentenced Gen. Sheegow Ahmed and his bodyguards.

The Somalia Armed Forces Court, Ahmed Ali Sheegow (Gen. Sheegow), sentenced him to 10 years in military prison, as well as the payment of money for the killing of Sakarie Mohamed Ali and the wounding of deputy officer Abdullahi Hussein.

The two men, one of whom was sentenced to death and the other wounded, were the officers and soldiers who went to his house to surrender, but he fired back, according to the prosecution.

Also, Ahmed Mohamed Hassan (Abi Ahmed), who was the commander of the security forces of Ahmed Ali Sheegow, was sentenced to death.

He was found to have killed two accused in a court in Jowhar on February 13 this year.

18 defendants who were among the soldiers fighting for Sheegow were also sentenced to 6 years in military prison.

The court also sentenced three soldiers who committed a robbery that allegedly started the chaos to three to five years in military prison.
