The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, participated in the cooperation meeting between Italy and the countries of the Horn of Africa hosted by the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni.
The meeting, which took place in Rome, the capital of Italy, was attended by leaders from Somalia, Djibouti, Kenya, Ethiopia and Italy, which was the host of the meeting, and discussed issues related to security, economy, trade and investment.
The Somali government said at the meeting that it would give priority to regional and international cooperation in the second phase of the operation to liberate the country from Al-Shabaab.
President Hassan Sheikh and a delegation led by him in the country are holding various meetings in the city of Rome in Italy where they have gone to participate in international conferences.
It is also planned that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud will have a private meeting with the various leaders participating in the meetings, and he will discuss issues related to the situation in Somalia.
