The forces of the federal government of Somalia and those of the Jubbaland administration have carried out several operations in which many fighters of the Al-Shabaab group have been killed in areas of Jubba.
The operation took place in the area called Weel Maarow and other areas 42 km away from Jilib district in the Middle Jubba region.
A brief news published in the media of the federal government said that the operation killed 40 members of the Al-Shabaab group, including the head of the explosions in charge of the Al-Shabaab in the Jubba area, whose name was shortened to Farhan and his deputy Abdi Mahad and other members.
“40 members of the Khawarij, including the leaders and the leader of the Juba Bombings, Farhan and his deputy, Abdi Mahad, were killed in the operation. Also, among the Khawarij officials who were killed was the head of finance in the Weel-Maarow area,” said the news. Published by the Somali government.
Collaborating forces are also said to have destroyed the group’s base in Weel Maarow area and other places where Al-Shabaab was hiding.
However, the government forces and the Jubbaland Dervishes have increased their operations against the Al-Shabaab group in the Jubba region.
