Garad Jama Garad Ismail has called on the President of Somaliland to withdraw his army from the SSC regions saying that they will forcefully remove them if they are not withdrawn.
He said that they are not rejecting peace, but they are defending their land and he said that Somaliland has invaded, saying that they have found justification for their war in religion.
“We don’t deny peace, but when you are in your house, and you are arrested, we asked the scholars before starting a war. The scholars told us that if you don’t resist the man who comes to your house, you will be killed,” said Garad Jama.
He said that the tribes living in the area are not against each other, but they are against each other and the government of President Bihi saying that Bihi will regret the war.
He called on President Bihi to withdraw the Somaliland army from the SSC areas, saying that if this is not done, they will force the Somaliland army out.
“We told him and when he refused, we will prove to you today that we are not attacking anyone, and we told the president that if he leaves now with his army, we will make him safe, but if he does not leave, we will remove him with five eyes,” said Garad Jama.
The intellectual and a delegation led by him were recently in Mogadishu where they had a meeting with the heads of the federal government.
