The Somali Government approved the country’s political direction and the decisions of the National Consultative Council.

The Somali Council of Ministers has approved the implementation of the agreement reached by the National Consultative Council. This agreement is the implementation of the country’s election process.

The Prime Minister of Somalia has instructed his cabinet to quickly prepare the laws to enforce this agreement.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Somalia also said that any amendment to be made to the constitution must be done in accordance with Chapter 15 of the country’s constitution.

At the council meeting, the appointment of the general manager of the national identity and registration agency, Abdiweli Ali Timadade, and his deputy, Abdullahi Bihi Hussein, were approved.

The cabinet also approved the director of the country’s refugee and displaced persons agency, named Safiyo Hassan Mohamed, and its two deputies. The ministers also approved a trade agreement and accession to the EAC and Commesa organizations.
