The Somaliland Senate has once again approved by majority vote the Somaliland Elections Act No. 91.

The Somaliland Senate passed the election law that the president recently brought back to the legislative councils after some points were divided.

“When the election is held, the president is ready, and we are out, no reflection has been made and no rain has been made in the law,” Shaad, a member of the Senate, said according to MMTV.

The Senate and the House of Representatives have already approved the law, but they have issued two different versions when it comes to some of the provisions, which caused the president to return it.

The law will be passed by the House of Representatives again, asking if they will reject the disagreeable articles or not.
