The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, visited the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Mogadishu last night, after the recent shooting of officers from that country at the General Gordan camp.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a briefing and condolence meeting with the Somali Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Juma Al-Rumaysi.
The meeting between President Hassan and Ambassador Ahmed also discussed the importance of traditional relations between the two countries and how to strengthen them, especially in the areas of security and economic development.
The United Arab Emirates is one of the countries that closely supports the government of Somalia, which is particularly involved in the reconstruction of the Somali army.
The visit of the President of Somalia to the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates last night comes after the President was not used to visiting the embassies of international countries in Somalia.
