The government of Somaliland said that it used to get 2 million dollars from the war that took place while the army was in Gojacadde.
The Minister of Finance of Somaliland, Saad Ali Shirre, who confronted the finance committee of the House of Representatives, said that Somaliland lost a lot of money in the Lasan war.
“During the time I was with Gojakade, every war was spent as much as 2 million, I just wanted to make you aware of the losses and costs when a war goes on, and it is correct,” said Minister Shirre.
The minister, who was asked about the defeat of the Somaliland army that caused them to leave Gojacadde, said that so far it cannot be explained how it happened.
“The way things happened is inexplicable, it’s like what happened in Gaza. Who knows, Hamas is entering Israel and killing thousands,” Shirre told the members of the financial committee.
After 8 months of Somaliland forces fighting in Lasanood, on August 25, the Jabwani arrived, forcing them to move to the Oog base.
