The Jubba River, which runs through some areas and districts in Gedo region, has caused severe flooding in the past few hours and has displaced hundreds of families.
Among the places where the river caused floods are the districts of Luuq, Dolow and Bardhere, all of which are part of the Gedo region, and the flood also destroyed several crops in a large agricultural land.
The flooding of the Jubba river in these districts of Gedo came after the river’s water level was very high and there were heavy rains, which increased the water level of the river and caused it to break the boil in different areas of those districts.
No loss of life has been reported in the districts affected by the floods, apart from the fact that people in those areas have been displaced from their homes.
The reports add that the people displaced by the flood of the Jubba River are now facing difficult conditions in most of the Gedo districts.
