The US Embassy in Somalia has announced plans to strengthen its military alliance with African countries, after a meeting with the Minister of Defense of Somalia, Abd Qadir Mohamed Noor and the Commander of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyadeen.

The discussions were about how to strengthen the security of Somalia, as new bases will be established for the forces of the Somali country that are part of the Danab brigade.

This news comes at a time when Somalia is preparing for the second phase of its war against Al-Shabaab, which was announced in March.

The United States will provide important support to the Somali National Army in Danab, which the United States has trained to fight Al-Shabaab.

This action has come at a time when the Somali Government is campaigning for the continuation of international support against terrorism.

The Minister of Defense held meetings with diplomatic officials including the UK Ambassador to Somalia, the United Nations Envoy to Somalia, the Head of the United Nations Political Office in Somalia, and the Commander of the Ugandan Army.
