Al-Shabaab fighters shot dead five people who they said were spies in the Kuunya Barow area of the Lower Shabelle region.
The five people who carried out the shooting in the group were said to be all men, whose ages ranged from 28 to 52 years.
The Al-Shabaab group’s court shot five people in the square who said they all confessed that they were spies working with the governments of the United States and Somalia.
Hundreds of people gathered at the scene of the shooting to watch the execution of the five people.
