Puntland said that the names of politicians, officials and individuals accused of being involved in acts of disrupting the security of Puntland will be forwarded to judicial institutions, so that they can be brought to justice.
A press release issued at the Puntland Cabinet meeting stated that these politicians work for the Federal Government, and were part of an invasion that Puntland foiled and was organized by the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, which was said to have sought to disrupt the security and governance of Puntland.
Puntland has instructed security institutions that no one should be allowed to enter the country with troops or vehicles that are not part of the official Puntland forces. The forces have also been ordered to strengthen the fight against piracy, illegal fishing and any other activity that occurs in Puntland waters, stressing that legal action will be taken against anyone who violates these waters.
The press release also stated that legal action will be taken against owners and users of social media platforms accused of spreading false information or defaming the Puntland government system.
This news comes a day after Puntland launched military operations to seize weapons and camps belonging to the PSF, the most powerful opposition force to President Deni.
