The head of the Somali Federal Government’s Office for the Regional Defense Forces, known as the Macawisleyda, Ali Jeyte Osman, spoke emotionally at a welcoming ceremony held in Jigjiga, the capital of the Somali Regional State, that he came from the people of Hiran who are bleeding.

Leader Ali Jeyte Osman, who arrived in Jigjiga last week, said that he and his delegation did not come to Jigjiga to visit people who are bleeding, and that their plan is to provide them with the assistance they need.

“This was not a visit, we left people who are bleeding and in a difficult situation, who have been at war for four years, civilians from one family, they really worked hard, they worked hard, they can be said to have made sacrifices, you know, they are our brothers,” said Ali Jeyte Osman.

He also pointed out to the leader of the Somali National Army that the people of Hiiraan have shown their role in eradicating Al-Shabaab, and now all they need is brotherly help.

“I urge you to help those people, to help them, and to be careful as citizens or as families who are currently sitting here to work for peace and work with your government.” said Ali Jeyte Osman.

Ali Jeyte thanked the Somali regional government and the Ethiopian government for their hospitality and their readiness to help fight the Al-Shabaab militia, noting that they had previously supported him and were now ready to provide further support to the people of Hiran.

On July 9, the Ethiopian Somali regional government handed over military equipment to the governor of Hiran region, accompanied by some of the region’s intellectuals, and the weapons and military equipment were intended for the forces fighting the Hawadlle clan, which is fighting terrorist groups.

Finally, the Somali people in general are particularly looking forward to the results of the meetings that the leader of the Somali National Army has been holding in the Ethiopian Somali regional state for the past two weeks.
