The former president of Somalia, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, warned that the government of Somalia intends to hold one-sided elections, which he described as not valid in the country, and he called for a discussion on the type of elections that the country is heading for.
Sheikh Sharif declared that they are in line with the government’s desire to hold one-sided elections in Somalia, and he said that if a single party holds elections, the National Mission will hold elections.
Sheikh Sharif reiterated that the administrations of Jubaland and Puntland will be able to come up with a consensus to hold elections throughout the country.
