The Kenyan security agencies foiled a planned attack by Al Shabaab in Alango area, along the Garisa and Dadaab road in Garissa County.
The Al-Shabaab group, which was preparing to launch an attack, received information from the Kenyan intelligence agencies. However, the Kenyan security forces foiled their plan and two of the Al Shabaab members were killed on the spot, while the others escaped with injuries.
Among the weapons recovered from the scene of the attack were two AK47 rifles, as well as 7-magazines, explosives and various other materials.
