The Somaliland Intelligence Agency (NIA) has said that it has arrested two members of the Somaliland Intelligence Agency (NISA), who wanted to carry out planned activities in Borama, Awdal region.

A statement published on the X page of the intelligence agency said that the NIA had arrested groups who wanted to create chaos in Borama town.

“We have captured a group of NISA who were sent from Mogadishu to create chaos in Somaliland and planned murders, especially Borama. Two of those members have been arrested, while six others are wanted.” It was mentioned in the NIA note.

The report said that Somaliland’s intelligence forces are calling on the public to report anyone they suspect to the security agencies.

Somaliland’s intelligence agency last year arrested groups and people accused of planning attacks.
