The President of Jubbaland administration, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, Ahmed Madobe arrived today in Afmadow district of Lower Jubba region, where he went to accelerate the fight against the Al-Shabaab group.
Ahmed Madobe held a special meeting in Afmadow town with the leading officers of the army and members of different communities living in Afmadow where he discussed the strengthening of operations to free Al-Shabaab from Jubbaland.
The visit of the President of Jubbaland to Afmadow today comes as the joint forces of the country and Jubbaland opened the road connecting the cities of Kismayo and Afmadow a few days ago.
Last week it was when the federal and Jubbaland forces achieved great success in the attacks of the Al-Shabaab group in the areas of Bulo Haji and Harboole in the Lower Jubba region.
Finally, in the Lower Juba region, strong operations are underway to eradicate Al-Shabaab from the entire area.
