The Cabinet of Ministers of the Somali government has approved the Bill for the establishment of the Independent Commission for National Elections and Borders, after a meeting last night.
Also, the Council of Ministers issued a resolution banning the sale of weapons and military equipment known as snipers, by approving the purchase policy of weapons, ammunition and military equipment.
This resolution prohibits the arms trade in the Federal Republic of Somalia, especially to import, export, manufacture, trade, transfer or transport weapons and military equipment.
This policy is said to be part of the efforts of the federal government to establish strict laws, policies and systems to control the illegal entry of weapons into the country, after the removal of weapons.
The Council of Ministers also approved the Defense Agreement between Somalia and Egypt.
