A meeting held by the National Security Committee chaired by the President of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has decided to bring to court those who brought illegal weapons into the country.

The National Security Commission has tasked the Ministry of Justice and law enforcement agencies to submit detailed reports and recommendations on the incident of illegal weapons being smuggled into the country, and to hold those responsible accountable, and to prevent such incidents. that will happen in the future.

President Hassan Sheikh stressed the importance of strict implementation of the Arms and Ammunition Control laws.

He emphasized that the success achieved in lifting the arms embargo is fundamental to the implementation of the government’s Arms Control policy.
