The commander of Puntland police force, Major General Mumin Abdi Shire, has accused the Federal Government of Somalia of spending a lot of money to disrupt the security of Puntland.
Commander Muumin said that in recent meetings held in Mogadishu, it was decided to pay money for the security of Puntland.
“One of the interesting things is that soldiers are paid, militias are created in Puntland, and then they cause chaos in Puntland,” said Commander Muumin while speaking to the local radio station Daljir.
Major Muumin said that it is not a secret that the federal government is spending money to disrupt the security of Puntland.
The Puntland police commander’s statement came as Puntland began an operation called stabilization of the capital, in which the army is targeting people with guns.
In this operation, the army killed two people, one is a civilian and the other is a soldier.
