Reports reaching the village of Buurawadal, which is about 30 km north of Garowe city, but in the Sool region, say that there is a conflict between the forces of the Puntland administration and the SSC Khatumo.
The dispute is based on customs tax collection that Puntland has implemented in Burawadal area and other areas under the Sool region, which are opposed by the forces of the SSC Khatumo administration.
A few days ago, a delegation led by the accountant of the Puntland Ministry of Finance in the Sool region, visited Burawadal area, saying that the collection of taxes in the Sool region should be accelerated.
The migration of the delegation and the opening of customs in Buurawal created tension between the two sides, as politicians from the Sool region condemned the move, saying that the Puntland administration is interfering in the areas of SSC-Khatumo.
Still no one from SSC Khatumo and Puntland has spoken about these issues.
