The Commander of the Somali Police Sulub Ahmed Firin spoke about the measures taken by the police in the past few days to arrest some famous people on the social media who were insulting and inciting people on the Internet.

Commander Sulub said that it will never be allowed to slander on social media, and anyone who slanders will be arrested and brought before the law, noting that the job of the police is to protect the law and honor of the community.

“There are many young people using social media wrongly and insulting others. The police force is responsible for protecting the dignity of people who are insulted on social media. The country has laws and order, beyond what the law allows, we are determined to catch them, as it is our duty to protect the law, anyone who transgresses his limits will be asked to explain what he said. “said the Commander of the Somali Police Force, Sulub Ahmed Firin.

Commander Sulub’s statement comes at the same time that the Somali Police Force has arrested more than 30 men and women in Mogadishu, who are accused of insulting tribes, other individuals and inciting people.

The people living in Mogadishu have greatly welcomed the action of the Somali Police force to arrest those people who have been making threats on social media in the past.
