The adviser on the constitutional affairs of the president of Somalia, Hussein Sheikh Mohamud, said that the president of Puntland, Said Abdullahi Deni, is absent from the negotiation table due to his own political issues.
The adviser to President Hassan Sheikh, said that the MPs recruited by President Deni raised their hands to change the country’s constitution, saying that President Deni is a man who seems to be the only one who is right.
“The man who wrote 60 MPs in his hand, I can’t say, “I know more about the government than you do”. Have you heard anyone in the parliament from Puntland objecting,” said Hussein Sheikh Mohamud.
Hussein said that the two houses of the parliament are the ones who have the power of the constitution. He told the state governments to trust the MPs sent by the two houses.
