The Somali Police Command has sent a large number of highly armed troops to the Middle Shabelle region where in the past few days they have been fighting two tribal militias in some areas.

These forces were intended by the Police Command to intervene between the fraternal clans who have been fighting for some time in the villages under Biyo Adde area in the Middle Shabelle region.

The Commander of the Somali Police Force, Sulub Ahmed Firin, has instructed the police force to ensure the security of the areas where there is conflict.

The action of the police force sent to the areas where the tribal wars took place is increasing, as two tribal militias have been fighting each other and killed more than 20 people.

In the Middle Shabelle region, there have been repeated incidents of inter-communal conflict between the neighboring clans in the Middle Shabelle region.
