The forces of the federal government of Somalia and those of international friends have jointly carried out operations against the Al-Shabaab group in areas of Galgaduud and Middle Shabelle regions.
The first operation took place in the area of Ali Hayle in the Middle Shabelle, while the second operation took place in the area of Barag Sheikh Aamir, one of the areas under the Galcad district of the Galgaduud region.
The operations that took place in the areas of Ali Hayle and Barag Sheikh Amir, which were bombings, indicated that members of Al-Shabaab were killed and burned in vehicles driven by the group, namely Abdi Bile and Boyad.
“The command of the XDS army has confirmed that the bombing of Ali Hayle burned a truck and killed the militiamen who were guarding the vehicle. The second bombing that took place tonight in the area of Barag Sheikh Aamir also targeted Abdi Bila’s car in the area known as around Hareriga Jimaleh Mohamud Daoud” was said in a news release from the Federal Government.
The latest reports say that operations are still going on in these areas by the joint forces to hunt down the remnants of the Al-Shabaab group in the areas bombed by the army in the past hours in the Middle Shabelle and Galgaduud.
