The forces of the federal government of Somalia, especially the Danab Commandos, the 162nd Union and the Jubbaland Security Forces, have carried out an operation in areas under the Jamame district, which have caused a lot of damage to the Al-Shabaab group.
The army carried out the operation in several areas on the banks of the Jubba River, namely Jiimay, Bangeeni and Bandar Jadid, all of which are under Jamame district in the Lower Jubba region.
A statement issued by the Federal Government announced that more than 30 members of the Al-Shabaab group, including leaders and militias, were killed in the operation.
“In this operation, the Kharijites suffered a heavy loss by killing more than 30 leaders and militiamen, while wounded prisoners and others were captured,” said the statement issued by the federal government.
The officers who led this operation also said that the troops are continuing this type of operation targeting the areas where Al-Shabaab is located in the Jubba area.
