The President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, today attended an event in Mogadishu where the new Director of the National Security and Intelligence Agency, Abdullahi Mohamed Ali Sanbalolshe and the former Director of the Agency, Mahad Mohamed Salad, took over.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud first thanked the former Chief of Security, Mahad Mohamed Salad, for his efforts and progress in the work of NISA during his tenure in office.
He also told the President of the Federal Government of Somalia that NISA is of great importance in the plan to free the country from Al-Shabaab, and it was the leader in the areas that were freed from Al-Shabaab.
“You are working for the Somali nation and not for a former or incoming director. You must trust the people and welcome them. Our job is to fight the Khawarij and we must all stand together,” said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has also instructed the new director of the Somali National Security and Intelligence Agency to excel in the tough duties ahead.
Finally, the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, cut the ribbon on the buildings of the intelligence department and Jilicow Academy of the Somali National Security and Intelligence Agency, which was built in a modern way.
