US President Donald Trump said a massive corruption scandal involving Somalis in Minnesota could be much bigger than investigators have found so far.

President Trump said that the available reports show $19 billion was stolen, but the real amount could be as much as $50 billion, as the amount known is less than what actually happened.

Trump made the remarks to reporters aboard Air Force One, as he returned to Washington, D.C., after spending the Christmas and New Year holidays at Mar-a-Lago.

He said that when he says $19 billion, that usually means the real number is much higher, and he described the numbers as very large and unusual.

The president said that those involved in the corruption directly stole from American taxpayers, and that strong action should be taken against them. He called for all those involved in these acts to be deported from the United States.

Trump also specifically attacked Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, accusing her of being part of the corruption, including one of the leaders. He called her a corrupt person in his speech.

Finally, Trump declared that the US government would no longer provide these payments, saying that “the time for easy money is over.” He added that the government would no longer provide these people with money, and would no longer provide money to states like California and Illinois.
