Security forces in Dhobley district in Lower Juba region have arrested a man accused of killing a 14-year-old boy and seriously injuring another boy.
The suspect has been identified as Jelle Mohamed Osman, who is said to have committed the horrific act on two separate occasions, both coming from a Quranic school.
The injured boy is currently being treated at a hospital in Dhobley town in Lower Juba region. The exact reason behind the man’s targeting of the two boys, one of whom died and the other was injured, is unknown.
Dhobley town security forces spent hours searching for the suspect and eventually managed to arrest him, and said that further investigations are underway to determine the reasons behind the horrific act.
Police officers in Dhobley district have called on the community living in the area to work with security forces to prevent such acts, so that those who commit crimes in the area can be brought to justice.
