Galmudug security forces, especially the Guriceel district police, have arrested a man accused of murdering a prominent businessman in Guriceel town last night.
The businessman who was killed was named Deeq Abdi Jamac, a young man who was well-known in Guriceel district, Galgaduud region.
The district police command presented the man accused of murdering the businessman to the media, who is named Abdifitaax Ali Hassan Diiriye.
The Guriceel district police command also said that the suspect will be brought to justice soon, and that his arrest shows how the security forces in the district are committed to dealing with security in the district.
Deputy Governor of Guriceel district Shafi Jamac Abdi, the District Police Commander and other officials who spoke together on this issue warned those involved in acts related to the killing of clan elders.
