The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), in collaboration with international partners, carried out a planned operation that killed members of the Al-Shabaab group at the Gayacad junction near the Mabah area in the Hiran region.
NISA said that this operation, which was an airstrike, took place three times last night, and specifically targeted members of the Al-Shabaab militia who were on their way to the Hiran region as reinforcements.
A press release from the NISA Command stated that the operation killed up to 15 members of the group, while also seriously injuring a number of others from the group.
The Al-Shabaab militias killed in the airstrike operation were organized in the Aden Yabaal district and the Ceel Ali Ahmed area in the Middle Shabelle region, which are under the control of the group.
