Puntland administration bans holding meetings without permission from Sanaag regional administration in support of SSC Khaatumo administration
A document issued by the administration clearly instructs to stop all meetings not authorized by the administration in the cities of Sanaag region. A strong warning has also been sent to anyone who takes part in unauthorized meetings.
The document specifically mentions that it has been banned from holding meetings in private halls and hotels without permission from the administration. This step is part of the Sanaag regional administration’s efforts to restore order and stability in the region, according to the Sanaag regional administration.
On the other hand, the Puntland administration said that it has completely banned the operation of vehicles without Puntland license plates, especially those with Somaliland or SSC license plates, in Sanaag region, which the administration said poses a security risk.
This decision comes after politicians from Sanaag region are trying to hold a conference to support Sanaag region joining the SSC Khaatumo administration, and at the same time welcome the upcoming conference in Lascaanod city to complete the SSC Khaatumo administration.
The Puntland presidency has sent forces consisting of Darawiishta and PMPF to Sanaag region, to prevent the activities of politicians from that region.
