A soldier from the Jubaland Army who sold weapons to Al-Shabaab has been sentenced by a court.

The Jubbaland Armed Forces Court has issued a ruling in the case of members of the Jubbaland military who were accused of working with Al Shabaab and selling weapons, according to the evidence presented to the court.

The defendants are: Mohamed Adan Sahal and Muse Mohamed Nur, who were members of the Jubbaland forces and are accused of working with Al Shabaab and buying government weapons from terrorists, and their case has been ongoing for some time.

The Chairman of the Jubbaland Armed Forces Court, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi Mahmuud Ibrahim, stated that the court found Mohamed Adan Sahal and Muse Mohamed Nur guilty of the charges and sentenced them to 5 years in military prison each.

The court also presented the guns they bought and returned to the Jubbaland government by the families of the criminals. The court session was attended by the two Deputy Chairman of the Court, the Jubbaland Armed Forces Prosecutors, and the families of the defendants.

The Chairman of the Jubbaland Armed Forces Court, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullahi Mahmud Ibrahim, said that anyone who is not satisfied with the court’s ruling is free to appeal as long as the law allows.
