The Puntland Police said they have arrested three men who were accused of supporting Daesh, who were arrested in Garowe.

The three defendants, Abdiqadir Abdisalan Siad, Fahad Mohamed Abshir, Aamir Abdi Muse Abdi, were accused of being involved in moralizing and supporting terrorist groups.

The Puntland police have confirmed that they are now in the hands of the security forces, where further investigations are underway.

In a statement issued by the police, he warned the public against spreading inappropriate news related to this case, noting that social media should be used responsibly.

They said that the accused will face the law and will be referred to the competent courts to answer the charges against them.

This news from the Puntland Police coincided with the public’s anger over the recent arrest of Abdiqadir Abdisalan Siyad, one of the teachers in Garowe, who was one of the three people arrested by the police.

Abdiqadir, who used to teach education in high schools in Garowe, was expelled from his school a week ago. A few days ago, he was part of a campaign organized by schools against Daesh, and was supported by the Puntland forces.
