The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Somalia, Ahmed Macalim Fiqi, said that there was no objection to the request of the former Prime Minister of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble.

Minister of Jurisprudence, who gave an interview to VOA Somalia, revealed that they have great respect for Roble and pointed out that he took the country out of a dangerous place during the 2022 elections of President Farmajo’s government.

“We have the letter we wrote to him and his delegation on the 1st of February, and I don’t know where his request was rejected, we only heard that it is being carried out, Roble has not even said anything, and once he speaks, the government will respond directly,” said Minister Fiqi.

The statement of the former Prime Minister of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, that the Embassy of Somalia in Kenya prevented the receipt of that letter, has been widely used on social media, and Roble and his delegation later traveled with European passports.

Roble and his delegation were warmly welcomed in Johannesburg, South Africa, and received an official invitation from the Somali community in the country.
