Puntland has confirmed that there is no obstacle faced by the federal government of Somalia regarding the passport service for the soldiers who were injured in the war against Daesh in the Calmikaad mountains.
Ahmed Hurre, a member of the Puntland Armed Forces Support Committee, said that there was no obstruction by the Immigration and Nationality Agency of the Federal Government.
“Speaking on behalf of our military support committee, I confirm that there is no obstacle in terms of passports, and there is no obstruction by the immigration and citizenship agency JFS,” said the member of the committee.
This statement comes at a time when there were reports circulating on social media that the Federal Government has blocked the immediate repatriation of soldiers who were injured in the war against Daesh.
An immigration official told them that it will take one day for the injured soldiers to get their passports.
