A letter issued from the Office of the President of Jubaland State, Ahmed Mohamed Islam Ahmed Madobe, called a meeting of the members of the two houses of the Somali Parliament elected from the areas of Jubaland.

The letter from the office of President Ahmed Madobe wrote “I invite the honorable members of both Houses representing the Government of Jubaland to a consultation meeting to discuss the political situation in the country in Kismayo, the provisional capital of Jubaland. date 8-11 November 2024”.

This matter was after two ministers of the Somali government resigned from their positions on Sunday.

The Minister of State for the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Abdirashid Jire Qalinle and the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Education, MP Ahmed Isman Ibrahim (Daqare), both from Jubaland, submitted their resignation letters to RW Hamse Abdi Barre.

The two ministers who resigned were of the same view on the separation and problems of the Federal Government in SSC, Puntland and Jubbaland administrations, accusing the government of running political chaos and power conflicts.
