The members of both Houses have approved the President’s request to delay the leave of the Parliament for a period of one month, in order to approve the laws that will lead the country to elections by vote.
In a speech delivered by the President to the Parliament, he asked them to delay their vacation for a month in order to obtain the necessary laws to implement the laws of the elections in the country.
President Hassan Sheikh said that no decision can be reached without a decision from the parliament. The President, who made a speech at the parliament building, said that the laws that have not been implemented are the ones that are hindering the passage of the parliament.
“Somalia needs help while sitting in this house. It is not individual poverty, but poverty that affects the future of the next generation,” said the president.
He said the president is committed to giving the Somali people a vote and a personal election. In order to achieve this, he said that the government should prepare all the laws and opportunities that would support the government to hold public elections in the country.
