MP Mohamed Abib called the case filed by the Attorney General of Somaliland in the House of Representatives as a cheap lie.
The Hargeisa MP who spoke to the media said that Bihi’s government is attacking anyone who points the finger after it has failed in its assigned tasks.
“When we were working for this country, we were opposed to anyone who said the bad habits of our leaders, and we were opposed before. We all deserve to defend our freedom and rights,” said MP Abib.
He said that the charges against him are cheap lies and that he would not choose Somaliland anywhere else. He said that if he were to betray his land, he would first take the corrupt money that he said was offered to him.
On the other hand, he said that he will resign if the people of Awdal claim that they are not satisfied with his representation, “but I will not be removed from the conversation that has been going on for a long time and that has brought politicians and the tired tribesmen.” said MP Abib.
Chairman of the House of Representatives of Somaliland Prof. Faratoon is particularly blamed for the case against Abib after they argued several times during the sessions of the council, while the MP was seen saying to the chairman, “Shut up, what are you doing?” and other words.
