The government of Somalia spoke for the first time today about the illegal weapons that came into the hands of tribal militias from Cabudwaq district in Galgaduud region.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Security said that the weapon was an illegal weapon that was seized by government forces before it was handed over to militiamen who were on the way to the weapon.
The Ministry of Security of the government of Somalia said that it is very sad that the militias have entered the road to the government forces, and it said that it is committed to return those weapons to the hands of the security agencies of the government.
The government called on the traditional elders and the local people to take part in returning the weapons to the hands of the Dowa, saying that they could be used to inflame clan conflicts, or fall into the hands of Al-Shabaab.
