The Jubbaland military court this morning executed five men belonging to the Al-Shabaab group who had previously committed various murders in Kismayo.
Five members were shot in a square in the city of Kismayo, and there were military officers and some people from Kismayo who came to watch the shooting.
The Al-Shabaab men who were shot this morning were identified as Mohamed Abdullahi Abukar, Osman Mohamed Mursal, Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, Ilyas Mohamed Hassan and Ugas Adan Mohamed Gedi, who were members of the Jubbaland intelligence community and were found by the court to be members. The prosecutor of Jubbaland Military Court, Colonel Ismail Abdi Ali, who spoke to the media at the scene where the man was shot, said that anyone who commits a murder like this will be killed.
