Reports from the Middle Shabelle region say that the Commander of the 3rd Division of the Somali Police Dervishes in the Middle Shabelle region, Abdulkadir Mohamed Hashi, known as Juqlawe, was killed in Haji Ali area.
Commander Juqlawe died in a tribal war early this morning in Haji Ali area, one of the areas under Adale District, and his death was confirmed by the 2nd Deputy Commander of the Somali Police Force, General Zakiya Hussein.
The late commander was the leader of the Somali Police Deravishes who were divided between tribal militias who have been fighting for the past few years in areas under Adale district.
General Zakiya Hussein said in a post on her Facebook page that two-star Abdulqadir Mohamed Hashi Juqlawe was a hard worker who lost his life mediating a tribal war in the Middle Shabelle region.
“May God have mercy on us, Lx/le Abdul Qadir Mohamed Hashi Juqlawe, who was the commander of the Dervish Police Union in the Middle Shabelle, was martyred this morning while working to separate two communities that broke out in a war. Juqlawe was one of the Dervish police officers who were in the Sh/Central areas every few weeks and managed to quell the conflict.
It was recently when the federal government sent police forces to the Middle Shabelle region to intervene with tribal militias who fought several times in areas of the Middle Shabelle region, which killed many people.
