The Puntland administration said that it has lost confidence in the MPs representing the two houses of parliament who are against the decisions taken by Puntland regarding the relationship with the federal government.

Puntland said that those MPs cannot represent Puntland in Mogadishu.

The Minister of Information of Puntland, Mohamud Ayidi Dirir, said this, saying that the MPs sent by Puntland to Mogadishu, have become opposition in the constituencies where they were elected.

“Where is the person who was elected in opposition, where is he staying?” They should know that they are not immune if they deny the constituency they were elected to. They are the same as the people in the market.” Said Minister Ayid Diri.

The statement of the Minister of Information of Puntland came at a time when some of the parliamentarians of the two houses from Puntland, said that they are negotiating with the federal government of Puntland, as President Deni has severed the relationship with the federal government of Somalia.

These MPs accused President Deni of fighting with the federal government for his own political issues, which they said resulted in the people of Puntland losing the projects they were entitled to.
